We’re Michigan’s premier sustainable wedding venue, the only one that grows the food on your plate and the flowers in your bouquet right here on our farm. Acres of blooms surround an acre of thriving gardens, so you can say your vows right where the flowers grow. Close to Kalamazoo, and halfway between Detroit and Chicago, our 20-acre farm offers all the charm of a family farm with none of the compromises.

Farm Flat

Relax inside our secluded modern Farm Flat with a private patio hot tub, a full kitchen, and a bridal suite with a lounge for getting ready.

The staff made the entire experience easy and it was a beautiful event. We were already familiar with the quality of the farm’s food and the friendliness and helpfulness of the staff, so once we saw the reception venue, it was an easy decision.

Frequently Asked Questions

Do you have catering?

Yes, the Of the Land Commercial Kitchen is on site, directly next to the event venue. Your Of The Land wedding includes farm-to-table catering from Of The Land Catering.

Do you have lodging?

Yes, your Of The Land all-inclusive package includes lodging at our on-site farm flat that sleeps 6 and has a beautiful bridal suite, kitchen, deck and hot tub.

Can we serve alcohol?

All alcohol must be offered without any fee to your guests. Your Of The Land wedding includes bartending services at two bars.

Can we have a dry wedding?

Of course! Alcohol is never required at Of the Land. If you’d like a completely dry celebration, we’re happy to build your package around alcohol free options, including drinks from Dotty’s Garden Espresso Bar and Infused Beverage Station, and skip bar service entirely. Just let us know your preference.

Is cannabis use allowed?

Michigan law permits recreational cannabis use for guests 21+. Here at Of The Land, any cannabis service requires a licensed and insured Event Budtender. Use must stay outdoors, away from the greenhouse and shared spaces, and remain in the designated smoking area.

What are your facilities?

Our Wedding Greenhouse Venue includes a 144’ by 30’ Greenhouse with flooring, electrical, a dance floor, and a bar area. Outdoors, The Garden, Dotty, with lawn games, a bonfire area, wooden benches, and picnic tables. We have several ceremony sites, seating included.

What time does the reception end?

All guests should depart by 10:30 PM. Music, microphones & amplification end 30 minutes before at 10 PM. Bar service must end one hour before the end of your event, 9:30 pm.

Do you have flowers?

Yes! We work with our in-house floral design team. Your Of The Land wedding includes a floral base package or $1,000 worth of floral credit with their design team.

Do you have tables & chairs?

Yes! We have handmade wooden harvest tables for 150 guests & 2 head tables, plus other tables. We have matching chairs. These are included in your venue rental.

Do you have plates, etc.?

Yes! Table service for your Of The Land wedding, such as ceramic plates, glasses, napkins, and flatware, are included.

What if it rains?

Our Greenhouse Venue works as an incredible ceremony space in the event of rain. Events Staff, along with your “Go To Person”, will make that decision the day of, two hours or more before the wedding begins. The Greenhouse is dry inside.

Will it be hot?

Part of the fun of a farm wedding is being out in nature. Our Greenhouse Venue has a specially designed plastic that reflects infrared waves (heat) while allowing other wavelengths of sunlight in for the plants. We also have seven industrial steel ceiling fans, and the sides roll up to almost six feet high. This keeps the temperatures slightly cooler than the outside ambient temperature.

Will it be cold?

The Greenhouse is designed to hold in heat and warmth when closed. The sides roll easily fully down on the Greenhouse, so this allows us to adjust for changes in wind and weather. We also have eight modern-looking propane tube heaters, which will quickly heat up the venue space if needed.
